      Efektivitas Ekstrak Daun Kelor Moringa oleifera L. untuk Mencegah Infeksi Vibrio parahaemolyticus pada Udang Vaname Litopenaeus vannamei

      Abstract
      Daun kelor memiliki kandungan senyawa aktif yang berfungsi sebagai imunostimulan untuk mencegah timbulnya penyakit acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Vibrio parahaemolyticus. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas penggunaan ekstrak daun kelor dan dosis terbaik untuk mencegah infeksi Vibrio parahaemolyticus. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan lima perlakuan dan empat ulangan, yang mencakup K- (tanpa pemberian ekstrak dan tanpa uji tantang), K+ (tanpa pemberian ekstrak dengan uji tantang), serta tiga dosis ekstrak berdasarkan uji MIC dan MBC yaitu ME125 (pemberian ekstrak 0,125% pakan), ME25 (pemberian ekstrak 0,25% pakan), dan ME5 (ekstrak 0,5% pakan). Pemeliharaan dilakukan selama 30 hari menggunakan udang dengan bobot 2,6±0,3 gram kemudian diuji tantang menggunakan bakteri V. parahaemolyticus positif pirA dan pirB. Respons imun nonspesifik, kelangsungan hidup, dan kinerja pertumbuhan adalah parameter yang diamati. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak kelor efektif untuk mencegah penyakit AHPND yang ditunjukkan dengan tingkat kelangsungan hidup yang lebih tinggi, peningkatan respons imun, dan penurunan kepadatan bakteri V. parahaemolyticus daripada kontrol. Perlakuan terbaik pada penelitian ini adalah ME25 dengan tingkat kelangsungan hidup 90±8,17%.
       
      Moringa leaves active compound substances that function as immunostimulants to prevent the onset of acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) caused by Vibrio parahaemolyticus bacteria. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of moringa leaf extract and the best dose to prevent Vibrio parahaemolyticus infection. This study was conducted using a completely randomized design with five treatments and four replications, including K- (without extract and without a challenge test), K+ (without extract with a challenge test), and three doses of extract based on MIC and MBC tests, namely ME125 (extract administration of 0,125% feed), ME25 (extract administration of 0,25% feed), and ME5 (extract 0,5% feed). Maintenance was carried out for 30 days using shrimp weighing 2.6 ± 0.3 grams and then challenged using V. parahaemolyticus bacteria positive for pirA and pirB. Nonspecific immune responses, survival, and growth performance were the parameters observed. The results showed that moringa extract was effective in preventing AHPND disease, as indicated by a higher survival rate, increased immune response, and decreased density of V. parahaemolyticus bacteria compared to the control. The best treatment in this study was ME25, with a survival rate of 90±8.17%.
