      Abstract
      Industri pembuatan kapal semakin banyak menggunakan Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP), seperti di galangan CV. Cisanggarung Putra Mandiri yang menghadapi masalah penumpukan limbah FRP tanpa pengolahan yang baik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi karakteristik dan mengestimasi jumlah limbah FRP dari pembuatan kapal, menggunakan wawancara dan observasi pada berbagai bentuk dan penyusun limbah FRP meliputi bentuk bekuan cairan, lembaran serat kaca, lempengan, potongan fragmen FRP, serta berdasarkan penyusun FRP nya yaitu resin, gelcoat, chopped strand mat, woven roving, dan campuran bahan FRP. Data tersebut kemudian diolah menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa estimasi jenis dan bentuk limbah yang dihasilkan dari kedua unit kapal Paus 2 dan Paus 3 masing-masing berukuran 25 GT dengan total berat limbah yang dihasilkan 830,16 kg dan nilai rasionya sebesar 16,60 kg/GT. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai informasi bagi galangan dalam mengestimasi jumlah limbah yang dihasilkan saat membuat sebuah kapal.
       
      The shipbuilding industry is increasingly utilizing Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP), as observed at the CV. Cisanggarung Putra Mandiri shipyard, which faces the issue of accumulated FRP waste without proper treatment. Consequently, this research aims to identify the characteristics and estimate the amount of FRP waste generated from the ship production process, employing interviews and observations on various forms and compositions of FRP waste, including solidified liquid forms, fiberglass sheets, plates, FRP fragment pieces, as well as based on its constituent materials, namely resin, gelcoat, chopped strand mat, woven roving, and mixtures of FRP materials. The collected data were subsequently processed using descriptive analysis. The research findings indicate that the estimated types and forms of waste generated from the two vessel units, Paus 2 and Paus 3, each measuring 25 GT, resulted in a total waste weight of 830.16 kg and a ratio value of 16.60 kg/GT. The results of this study can serve as information for shipyards in estimating the amount of waste generated during the production of a vessel.
