      Abstract

Determining optimal hub locations in logistic systems is crucial to minimizing operational costs and improving distribution efficiency. This study addresses the single assignment hub location problem by incorporating multi-capacity levels to overcome hub capacity limitations in meeting customer demand. This approach ensures that each non-hub node is connected to only one hub, while multi-capacity levels provide flexibility in resource allocation. A mathematical model is developed to minimize total costs, including fixed hub opening costs, transportation costs, and hub operational costs. The solution is obtained using exact methods, despite being implemented on a relatively large scale. Simulation results show that the use of multiple capacity levels and single assignment leads to a efficient and flexible network configuration for determining hub locations.
