dc.description.abstractKalsium Nitrat (Ca(NO3)2) termasuk ke dalam jenis pupuk anorganik yang mengandung 2 (dua) unsur hara. Nitrogen berperan dalam pembentukan klorofil untuk fotosintesis daun, asam amino protein dan non protein, serta senyawa metabolit lain, serta sebagai komponen utama dinding sel yang diperlukan untuk kekuatan dan pertahanan. Percobaan bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pupuk anorganik Kalsium Nitrat terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata L.). Percobaan dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli hingga bulan Oktober 2024 bertempat di Kebun Percobaan IPB Sindangbarang, Kota Bogor. Percobaan pengujian dosis pupuk anorganik kalsiuim nitrat satu faktor dengan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap Teracak (RKLT) empat ulangan. Dosis pupuk terdiri atas enam taraf yaitu (1) tanpa pemberian pupuk yang diuji (Kontrol), (2) NPK standar, (3) 0,5 Kalsium Nitrat, (4) 0,75 Kalsium Nitrat, (5) 1,0 Kalsium Nitrat, dan (6) 1,5 Kalsium Nitrat. Percobaan dilakukan dengan empat ulangan sehingga terdapat 24 satuan percobaan. Pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman jagung yang diamati melalui karakter tinggi tanaman, diameter batang dan jumlah daun secara relatif tidak dipengaruhi taraf perlakuan pupuk. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa tanaman jagung memberikan respon yang sama terhadap keseluruhan taraf perlakuan pada saat fase pertumbuhan vegetatif. Perlakuan pupuk kalsium nitrat memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keseluruhan karakter produksi kecuali bobot basah brangkasan dan panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot. Perlakuan 0,5 dosis Kalsium Nitrat (15%N+26%CaO) pada tanaman jagung manis memiliki nilai tertinggi untuk karakter produksi per petak dan produktivitas dan nilai yang relatif tinggi untuk keseluruhan karakter.id
dc.description.abstractCalcium Nitrate (Ca(NO3)2) is a type of inorganic fertilizer which contains two nutrients. Nitrogen plays a role in the formation of chlorophyll for leaf photosynthesis, protein and non-protein amino acids, and other metabolite compounds, as well as being the main component of cell walls needed for strength and defense. The experiment aims to determine the effectiveness of inorganic calcium nitrate fertilizer on the growth of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata L.). The experiment was carried out from July to October 2024 at the IPB Sindangbarang Experimental Field, Bogor. This research used one factor (fertilizer dosage) Randomized Complete Group Design (RKLT) with four replications. The fertilizer dosage consists of six levels, namely (1) no fertilizer (Control), (2) standard NPK fertilizer, (3) 0.5 Calcium Nitrate, (4) 0.75 Calcium Nitrate, (5) 1.0 Calcium Nitrate, and (6) 1.5 Calcium Nitrate. The experiment was carried out with four replications with total of 24 experimental units. The vegetative growth of corn plants which was observed through the characteristics of plant height, stem diameter and number of leaves was relatively unaffected by the level of fertilizer treatment. This shows that corn plants respond the same to all levels of treatment during the vegetative growth phase. Calcium nitrate fertilizer treatment had a significant influence on all production characteristics except for fresh biomass weight and cob length without husk. Treatment of 0.5 Calcium Nitrate (15%N+26%CaO) on sweet corn plants had the highest value for production characteristics per plot and productivity and a relatively high value for overall characteristics.id
