      Serum Wajah Berbasis Ekstrak Madu Apis cerana Asal Jawa Barat sebagai Sediaan Antijerawat

      Abstract
      Madu Apis cerana memiliki aktivitas antimikroba terhadap mikroba penyebab jerawat. Akan tetapi, belum diketahui aktivitas antimikroba fraksi madu Apis cerana sumber nektar kelapa pinang asal Ciamis, Jawa Barat terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, Propionibacterium acnes, Bacillus subtilis dan Escherichia coli serta yeast Candida albicans untuk dikembangkan sebagai sediaan serum wajah antijerawat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis formulasi serum wajah dari fraksi madu Apis cerana berdasarkan aktivitas antimikroba dan antijerawat secara in vitro. Pengujian aktivitas antimikroba dilakukan dengan metode difusi cakram, sedangkan pengujian antijerawat dengan metode denaturasi protein. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas antibakteri terbaik ditunjukkan oleh fraksi etil asetat madu dengan KHM 1,25%. Fraksi madu tidak menunjukkan penghambatan pada C. albicans. Formula serum dengan variasi fraksi etil asetat madu memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap mikroba uji. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah madu Apis cerana memiliki potensi sebagai bahan alami serum antijerawat dengan aktivitas antimikroba rendah pada fraksi terbaik, fraksi etil asetat serta diduga memiliki aktivitas antiinflamasi.
       
      Apis cerana honey has antimicrobial activity against acne-causing bacteria. However, it is not yet known the antimicrobial activity of the Apis cerana honey fraction from coconut nectar from Ciamis, West Java against Staphylococcus aureus, Propionibacterium acnes, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli bacteria and Candida albicans yeast to be developed as an anti-acne facial serum preparation. This research aims to analyze the formulation of facial serum based on antimicrobial and anti-acne activity in vitro. Antimicrobial activity testing was carried out using the disc diffusion method, while anti-acne testing using the protein denaturation method. The results showed that the best antibacterial activity was shown by the ethyl acetate fraction of honey with MIC 1,25%. Honey fraction did not show inhibition of Candida albicans. Serum formula with variation of ethyl acetate fraction of honey has antibacterial activity against test microbes. The conclusion of this study is that Apis cerana honey has the potential as a natural ingredient for antiacne serum with low category antimicrobial activity in the best fraction, ethyl acetate fraction and is suspected to have antiinflammatory activity.
