      Abstract
      Pengelolaan limbah organik di era konsumtif seperti sekarang perlu dilakukan dengan baik karena jumlahnya yang terus meningkat. Limbah organik seperti biji buah durian memiliki peluang untuk dikelola menjadi material terbarukan seperti nanopartikel carbon dots (CDs). Sifat optik, biokompatibilitas, dan toksisitas yang rendah membuat CDs menarik perhatian banyak bidang, ditambah dengan dilakukannya proses co-doping seperti dengan nitrogen-sulfur (N,S-CDs) untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya. Salah satu pemanfaatan CDs yaitu sebagai material bioimaging yang bisa memberikan manfaat dalam bidang kesehatan. Karakterisasi UV-Vis menunjukkan sifat absorpsi dan emisi/pendaran yang baik, khususnya pada konsentrasi 0,1 M N,S-CDs, menjadikannya konsentrasi nitrogen-sulfur yang optimal. Walaupun perubahan gugus fungsi N,S-CDs tidak menunjukkan karakteristik yang baik, hasil pengamatan N,S-CDs pada citra TEM memiliki ukuran yang optimal (1-20 nm). Pengujian pada ikan zebra menunjukkan bahwa material N,S-CDs dapat bekerja baik sebagai material bioimaging yang selanjutnya dapat digunakan sebagai material untuk drug delivery system.
       
      Organic waste management in this consumptive era needs to be done well because the amount continues to increase. Organic waste such as durian fruit seeds has the opportunity to be managed into renewable materials such as carbon dots (CDs) nanoparticles. Optical properties, biocompatibility, and low toxicity make CDs attract the attention of many fields, coupled with doping processes such as nitrogen-sulfur (N,S-CDs) to improve their capabilities. One of the utilization of CDs is as a bioimaging material that can provide benefits in the health sector. UV-Vis characterization showed good absorption and emission properties, especially at a concentration of 0,1 M N,S-CDs, making it the optimal nitrogen-sulfur concentration. Although the functional group changes of N,S-CDs did not show good characteristics, the observation of N,S-CDs in TEM images had an optimal size (1-20 nm). Tests on zebrafish show that the N,S-CDs material can work well as a bioimaging material that can be further used as a material for drug delivery system.
