Tren parameter suhu dan TPL mengalami peningkatan sedangkan tren DO, klorofil-a, nitrat, dan fosfat mengalami penurunan. Estimasi IKL memiliki nilai 0.646 yang tergolong kategori sedang.
Sawu Sea is a habitat, and protected area for Cetacean groups this is also a migration route for them. This area is influenced by water masses originating from the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean so that it has complex oceanographic characteristics. The purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics and variability of oceanography as well as trends and indices of marine health based on oceanographic parameters in the Sawu Sea. Daily datasets from the Marine Copernicus model output and the Altimetry and OSTIA satellites (2009-2023) were used for this study. Time-series data were validated and analyzed using the Empirical Orthogonal Function (EOF) method, the Power Spectral Density (PSD) method, and trends and indices of marine health. The results showed the highest and the lowest spatial distribution of temperature and SSH were in in the west season and the east season, while the highest salinity occurred in the transition season II and the lowest in the transition season I. The total transport volume in the Sawu Sea was 0.19 Sv with the highest value in the west season and the lowest in the east season. Trends and estimates of Ocean Health Index (OHI) using physical parameters, such as temperature, salinity, and SSH and biogeochemical parameters, such as Dissolved Oxygen (DO), chlorophyll-a, nitrate, and phosphate. The trend of temperature and SSH parameters has increased while the trend of DO, chlorophyll-a, nitrate, and phosphate has decreased. The estimated OHI has a value of 0.646 which is classified as a moderate category.
