dc.description.abstractKebutuhan talas yang semakin meningkat perlu dibarengi dengan peningkatan produktivitas yang berkelanjutan. Penggunaan pupuk anorganik yang berlebihan dapat merusak tanah sehingga produktivitas semakin menurun. Penggunaan pupuk kandang sapi menjadi salah satu cara untuk menjaga dan memperbaiki kualitas tanah. Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Leuwikopo, Departemen Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Fakultas Pertanian Institut Pertanian Bogor dari bulan Desember 2023 hingga Juli 2024. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan kelompok lengkap teracak (RKLT) split plot. Faktor pertama sebagai petak utama yaitu varietas, terdiri dari 2 taraf yaitu talas Satoimo S28 dan talas Pratama. Faktor kedua sebagai anak petak adalah dosis pupuk kandang, terdiri dari 5 taraf yaitu D1 (0 kg), D2 (0,5 kg), D3 (1 kg), D4 (1,5 kg) dan D5 (2 kg). Hasil penelitian menunjukan talas Pratama memberikan hasil terbaik pada pertumbuhan vegetatif dan komponen panen meliputi daya tumbuh, tinggi tanaman, panjang pelepah, diameter tanaman dan jumlah daun, bobot umbi, diameter umbi, bobot basah brangkasan dan bobot kering brangkasan. Pemberian pupuk kandang dengan dosis 2 kg memberikan rata-rata hasil terbaik terhadap jumlah anakan, tinggi tanaman, panjang pelepah, diameter tanaman, bobot total umbi, diameter umbi, bobot basah, dan bobot kering. Talas pratama dengan pemupukan 2 kg memiliki potensi hasil produksi umbi terbaik sebesar 22,12 ton ha-1 .
dc.description.abstractDemands for taro tuber increase year by year to support consumption and industrial purposes, continuous improvement on taro productivity is important. Research aimed to evaluate cow manure application on growth and yield response of Satoimo S28 taro and Pratama taro. The research was conducted at Leuwikopo Experimental Farm, Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Faculty of Agriculture, Bogor Agricultural University from December 2023 to July 2024. The research employed a complete group design, randomised split plot, two factors and three replications. The first factor as the main plot was the variety consisting of 2 levels, namely Satoimo S28 taro and Pratama taro. The second factor as a subplot were the dose of manure consisting of 5 levels, namely D1 (0 kg), D2 (0.5 kg), D3 (1 kg), D4 (1.5 kg) and D5 (2 kg). The results showed that Taro Pratama had better vegetative growth and harvest components than Satoimo S28 including growth vigor, plant height, midrib length, plant diameter and number of leaves, tuber weight, tuber diameter, fresh weight stover and dry weight stover. Application of cow manure at a dose of 2 kg gave the best average results in number of sucker, plant height, midrib length, plant diameter, total tuber weight, tuber diameter, fresh weight and dry weight. Taro pratama with 2 kg cow manure had the best tuber production potential of 22,12 tons ha-1
