dc.description.abstract | Pesisir dan laut merupakan ekosistem yang kaya akan keanekaragaman hayati serta memiliki peran penting sebagai habitat berbagai makhluk hidup, termasuk lumba-lumba. Lumba-lumba merupakan mamalia laut yang hidup secara berkelompok. Wisata lumba-lumba di Pantai Lovina memberikan pengalaman luar biasa karena pengunjung dapat menyaksikan lumba-lumba dari jarak dekat, dengan beragam tingkah laku alami yang diperlihatkan oleh lumba-lumba selaku objek wisata. Aktivitas ini menjadi daya tarik wisata dan merupakan sumber penghasilan bagi masyarakat setempat yang terlibat dalam wisata lumba-lumba. Padatnya aktivitas transportasi laut akibat dari wisata tersebut berpotensi mengganggu kebiasaan alami lumba-lumba, terutama tingkah laku lumba-lumba sebagai mamalia laut. Dari hal tersebut, diperlukan adanya kajian dasar tingkah laku lumba-lumba di Pantai Lovina sebagai landasan dalam pengelolaan wisata ini di masa mendatang. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya kajian analisis kesesuaian dan daya dukung kawasan untuk kegiatan ekowisata lumba-lumba kemudian dirumuskan strategi pengelolaan ekowisata lumba-lumba di Pesisir Pantai Lovina. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian dan daya dukung ekowisata lumba-lumba, serta merumuskan strategi pengelolaan lumba-lumba berdasarkan Prosedur Operasional Baku (POB) ekowisata lumba-lumba di Pesisir Lovina, Bali.
Penelitian dilakukan di Pantai Lovina pada tanggal 12 Januari 2023 dan 17 April 2024. Pengamatan lumba-lumba menggunakan metode visual sensus dan line transect zigzag. Pengambilan data primer dilakukan dengan cara observasi lapang yang meliputi data frekuensi kemunculan lumba-lumba, titik koordinat kemunculan lumba-lumba, waktu kemunculan lumba-lumba, kecerahan perairan, dan persepsi responden. Pengambilan data sekunder melalui studi literatur terkait. Setelah data terkumpul, selanjutnya dilakukan analisis Indeks Kesesuaian Wisata (IKW), Daya Dukung Kawasan (DDK) dan gap analysis.
Berdasarkan perhitungan analisis data yang dilakukan, menunjukkan bahwa kawasan Pesisir Pantai Lovina Kabupaten Buleleng sangat sesuai untuk kegiatan wisata lumba-lumba, karena sesuai dengan kondisi lingkungan perairan yang mendukung keberlangsungan wisata lumba-lumba. Penerapan peraturan batasan jumlah perahu dan wisatawan menggunakan konsep daya dukung kawasan (DDK) yang telah dianalisis yaitu 42 unit/hari dengan maksimal 168 orang/ hari untuk kegiatan wisata lumba-lumba di Pantai Lovina. Kemudian, dirumuskan strategi berupa rancangan POB untuk pelaksanaan wisata bahari lumba-lumba di Pantai Lovina, berdasarkan lima kelompok utama pelaksana wisata, yaitu POB pengelola DTW (Daya Tarik Wisata) Pantai Lovina, POB wisatawan, POB operator wisata atau pembawa perahu, POB petugas tiket, serta POB petugas layanan informasi dan aduan. | |
dc.description.abstract | The coastal area is an ecosystem rich in biodiversity, serving as a vital habitat for various living creatures, including dolphins. Dolphins are social marine mammals that live in groups. At Lovina Beach, dolphin tourism offers a unique experience, allowing visitors to observe dolphins up close and witness their natural behaviors. This activity not only attracts tourists but also serves as a significant source of income for the local community involved in dolphin tourism. However, the increasing density of sea transportation activities related to tourism poses a potential threat to the natural behavior and habits of dolphins. To address this, a foundational study of dolphin behavior at Lovina is essential as a basis for sustainable tourism management. This includes conducting an analysis of the area's suitability and carrying capacity for dolphin ecotourism and developing effective management strategies. This study aims to assess the suitability and carrying capacity of the area for dolphin ecotourism and formulate a management strategy based on the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for dolphin ecotourism at Lovina, Bali.
The study was conducted at Lovina on January 12, 2023 and April 17, 2024. Dolphin observations used the visual census method and zigzag line transect. Primary data collection was carried out by means of field observation which included data on the frequency of dolphin appearances, dolphin appearance coordinates, dolphin appearance times, water clarity, and respondent perceptions. Secondary data collection through related literature studies. After the data was collected, the Tourism Suitability Index (IKW), Area Carrying Capacity (DDK) and gap analysis were analyzed.
Based on the calculation of the data analysis carried out, it shows that the Lovina Coastal area of Buleleng Regency is very suitable for dolphin tourism activities, because it is in accordance with the environmental conditions of the waters that support the sustainability of dolphin tourism. The implementation of regulations on the limitation of the number of boats and tourists uses the concept of the regional carrying capacity (DDK) which has been analyzed, namely 42 units/day with a maximum of 168 people/day for dolphin tourism activities at Lovina Beach. Then, a strategy was formulated in the form of a POB design for the implementation of dolphin marine tourism at Lovina Beach, based on five main groups of tourism implementers, namely POB managers of Lovina DTW (Tourist Attractions), POB tourists, POB tour operators or boat carriers, POB ticket officers, and POB information and complaint service officers. | |
