Strategi Pengembangan Bisnis Transportasi dan Logistik di PT Berkah Bina Amanat
Abstract
Jasa angkutan barang dengan armada truk merupakan salah satu media angkutan barang dengan biaya lebih rendah dan cakupan pengiriman yang luas. PT Berkah Bina Amanat (PT BBA) memiliki fokus utama pada aktivitas bisnis pengiriman barang hasil perkebunan di beberapa wilayah kota/kabupaten. Terdapat potensi efisiensi operasional untuk pengembangan PT BBA dengan tetap mempertimbangkan posisi dan kepentingan para stakeholder terkait. Selain itu, belum ada dokumen strategis peta jalan terkait rencana pengembangan bisnis perusahaan kedepan. Sehingga diperlukan rumusan alternatif strategi untuk pengembangan PT BBA. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kondisi lingkungan internal dan eksternal, menyusun alternatif strategi bagi pengembangan bisnis, serta menganalisis prioritas strategi pengembangan bisnis PT BBA.
Penelitian dilakukan dengan menganalisis kondisi internal dan eksternal menggunakan matriks Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) dan External Factor Evaluation (EFE), memformulasikan alternatif strategi pengembangan bisnis dengan matriks Internal-External (IE), matriks Strength-Weakness-Opportunity-Threat (SWOT), serta menetapkan prioritas strategi menggunakan matriks Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PT BBA memiliki keunggulan pada jaringan kepada stakeholder PTPN pusat, sedangkan memiliki kelemahan pada jumlah armada dan pemuat kelapa sawit yang terbatas serta kurangnya penggalangan sosial dan responsivitas terkait situasi di lapangan. PT BBA dinilai mampu merespon peluang tender PTPN untuk wilayah Jawa Barat dan Banten, namun belum merespon secara optimal ancaman berupa pergerakan cashflow yang relatif cepat. Penentuan prioritas strategi diantaranya adalah melakukan penambahan jumlah armada mandiri melalui berbagai skema yang dimungkinkan, dan menambah jumlah pemuat kelapa sawit dengan melakukan program pelatihan, penyesuaian upah, serta pengaturan kontrak kerjasama. Selain itu adalah memaksimalkan jaringan kepada stakeholder PTPN untuk mendapatkan berbagai informasi terkait peluang tender. Freight transportation services with a fleet of trucks are one of the means of transporting goods with lower costs and coverage of inter-city and inter-island deliveries. PT Berkah Bina Amanat (PT BBA) is a subsidiary of the TRUST Group which is engaged in the provision of land freight transportation services with a main focus on the business activities of shipping plantation products in several city/district areas. In general, PT BBA has not maximally explored various alternative strategies to improve performance. PT BBA is also still minimal in conducting evaluation activities so that the quality and quantity of business activities have not run optimally. This study aims to analyze internal and external environmental conditions, develop appropriate alternative strategies for business development, and analyze the priorities of PT BBA's business development strategy.
The business study was conducted by analyzing internal and external conditions using the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrices, formulating alternative business development strategies with the Internal-External (IE) matrix, the Strength-Weakness-Opportunity-Threat (SWOT) matrix, and determining strategic priorities using the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) matrix.
The results of the study indicate that the main strength of PT BBA is the network to stakeholders of PTPN center, while the main weakness of PT BBA is the limited number of fleets and TBS loaders and the lack of social mobilization and responsiveness in dealing with developments in the field. The recommended strategic priorities include increasing the number of fleets owned by PT BBA through various possible schemes, and increasing the number of palm oil loaders by conducting training programs, wage adjustments, and arranging cooperation contracts. In addition, it is maximizing the network to PTPN stakeholders by communicating and coordinating to obtain various information related to tender opportunities, both palm oil transportation work or others in the current area, as well as work portfolios from PTPN in other areas.
