      Efektivitas Simplisia Batang Pisang, Vaksin Komersial dan Kombinasinya untuk Mencegah Infeksi Aeromonas hydrophila pada Ikan Nila

      Abstract
      Salah satu penyakit yang dapat menyerang ikan nila yaitu motile aeromonad septicaemia (MAS) yang disebabkan oleh infeksi bakteri Aeromonas hydropila. Upaya pencegahan yang dapat dilakukan diantaranya yaitu dengan pemberian vaksin atau simplisia batang pisang melalui pakan, namun kombinasi keduanya belum dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas penambahan simplisia batang pisang, vaksin komersial dan kombinasinya dalam pakan sebagai upaya pencegahan infeksi bakteri A. hydrophila pada ikan nila Oreochromis niloticus. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu kontrol positif (K+), kontrol negatif (K-), simplisia batang pisang (BP), vaksin komersial (Vak), dan kombinasi dari batang pisang dan vaksin (BP+Vak). Ikan nila yang digunakan memiliki panjang ikan rata-rata 10,17±0,93 cm dengan bobot rata-rata 20,05±5,51 g yang dipelihara selama 42 hari dengan pemberian pakan sesuai perlakuan, kemudian diuji tantang pada hari ke- 43. Perlakuan BP, Vak dan BP+Vak menunjukkan hasil parameter kelangsungan hidup, total eritrosit, total leukosit, kadar hemoglobin, kadar hematokrit, aktivitas fagositik, titer antibodi, respiratory burst dan aktivitas lisozim yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kontrol positif. Perlakuan BP menghasilkan tingkat kelangsungan hidup tertinggi yaitu 96,67±5,77%.
       
      One of the diseases that can attack tilapia is motile aeromonad septicaemia (MAS) caused by Aeromonas hydrophila bacterial infection. Prevention efforts that can be done include giving vaccines or banana stem simplisia through feed, but the combination of the two has not been done. This study aims to test the effectiveness of adding banana stem simplisia, commercial vaccines and their combination in feed as an effort to prevent A. hydrophila bacterial infection in Oreochromis niloticus tilapia. The treatments were positive control (K+), negative control (K-), banana stem simplisia (BP), commercial vaccine (Vak), and combination of banana stem simplisia and vaccine (BP+Vak). The tilapia used had an average fish length of 10.17±0.93 cm with an average weight of 20.05±5.51 g. The tilapia were reared for 42 days by feeding according to the treatment, then tested on day 43. The BP, Vak and BP+Vak treatments showed better results in terms of survival parameters, total erythrocytes, total leukocytes, hemoglobin levels, hematocrit levels, phagocytic activity, antibody titer, respiratory burst and lysozyme activity compared to the positive control. The BP treatment produced the highest survival rate of 96.67±5.77%.
