dc.description.abstract | Kecapi atau santol (Sandoricum koetjape) merupakan tanaman asli Asia
Tenggara yang memiliki buah bulat berwarna kuning keemasan. Buah ini belum
dibudidayakan secara agronomis padahal terdapat plasma nutfah potensial dengan
karakteristik buah yang besar, berdaging tebal dan manis rasanya. Pemanfaatan dan
pengembangan tanaman kecapi diharapkan dapat diinisiasi dengan penerapan
teknik budi daya tanaman buah yang dimulai dari tahap pembibitan. Percobaan
dilakukan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh beberapa jenis media tanam dan komposisi
pupuk NPK yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan bibit tanaman kecapi, baik dari
aspek morfologi, anatomi, dan fisiologi. Taraf perlakuan media tanam terdiri atas
campuran
tanah:pupuk
kandang (2:1) dan campuran tanah:pupuk
kandang:cocopeat (2:1:1). Taraf perlakuan pupuk NPK terdiri atas NPK (15:15:15),
NPK (32:10:10), NPK (15:30:15), dan NPK (8:9:39).
Media tanah:pupuk kandang:cocopeat (2:1:1) memiliki sifat fisik dan kimia
yang lebih baik dibandingkan media tanah:pupuk kandang (2:1) sehingga lebih
mendukung ketersediaan air, aerasi, serta unsur hara. Media tanah:pupuk
kandang:cocopeat (2:1:1) lebih berdampak signifikan dibandingkan media
tanah:pupuk kandang (2:1) terhadap panjang akar primer dan sekunder, diameter
akar primer, pertambahan tinggi dan diameter batang, panjang ruas, jumlah daun,
luas daun, indeks luas daun, tingkat kehijauan daun, serta bobot basah dan kering
dari akar, batang, daun dan tajuk. Pupuk NPK (15:30:15) lebih berdampak
signifikan dibandingkan dengan perlakuan pupuk NPK lainnya terhadap jumlah
akar tersier, pertambahan tinggi dan diameter batang, panjang ruas, indeks luas
daun, serta bobot basah dan kering dari akar, daun dan tajuk. Interaksi media
tanah:pupuk kandang:cocopeat (2:1:1) dan pupuk NPK (15:30:15) lebih berdampak
signifikan pada variabel diameter akar primer dan pertambahan diameter batang
pada 16 MSP dibandingkan kombinasi perlakuan lainnya.
Media tanam dan pupuk NPK tidak berpengaruh terhadap ketebalan daun,
kerapatan stomata, laju fotosintesis, konduktansi stomata, laju transpirasi, dan
konsentrasi CO2 interseluler. Kombinasi penggunaan media tanam campuran
tanah:pupuk kandang:cocopeat (2:1:1) dan pupuk NPK (15:30:15) merupakan
pilihan terbaik untuk mengoptimalkan pertumbuhan bibit kecapi. Penetapan
tersebut didasarkan pada keunggulan dampak dari dua perlakuan tersebut pada
variabel pertumbuhan yang dipengaruhi perlakuan media tanam dan pupuk NPK
meskipun tidak konsisten pengaruhnya pada setiap waktu pengamatan. | |
dc.description.abstract | Kecapi or santol (Sandoricum koetjape) is native plant of South East Asia
with round and golden yellow fruit. It has not cultivated agronomically although
there is potential germplasm which has big size fruit, sweet and thick flesh traits.
Utilization and development of kecapi can be initiated by implementing fruit tree
cultivation method from the seedling phase. The field experiment was carried out
in order to explain the effects of different growing medias and NPK fertilizers
composition to kecapi seedling growth, which covered morphology, anatomy, and
physiology aspects. Growing media treatments included mixture of soil:cattle
manure (2:1) and mixture of soil:cattle manure:cocopeat (2:1:1). Fertilizer
treatments included four NPK fertilizers which is NPK (15:15:15), NPK (32:10:10),
NPK (15:30:15), and NPK (8:9:39).
Mixture of soil:cattle manure (2:1) showed better physical and chemical traits
than mixture of soil:cattle manure:cocopeat (2:1:1), which provided more water,
aeration, and nutrients. Mixture of soil:cattle manure:cocopeat (2:1:1) significantly
affected the primary and secondary root length, primary root diameter, stem
segment length, leaves number, leaf area, leaf area index, leaf greenness level, plant
wet and dry weight, better than mixture of soil:cattle manure (2:1). NPK (15:15:15)
more significantly affected the number of tertiary root, the accretion of stem height
and diameter, stem segment length, leaf area index, plant wet and dry weight better
than other NPK fertilizer treatments. The interaction of NPK more significantly
affected primary root diameter and the accretion of stem diameter in 16 weeks after
treatment better than other combination of NPK fertilizer and growing media
treatments.
Growing media and NPK fertilizer treatments did not significantly affected
leaf thickness, stomatal density, photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance,
transpiration rate, and concentration of CO2 intercelluler. Combination of mixture
of soil, cattle manure, and cocopeat (2:1:1) as growing media and application of
NPK (15:30:15) would be the best option for better growth of kecapi seedling. The
determination was based on the superiority of both treatment effects on growth
variable which was affected by growing media and NPK fertilizer, although those
were not consistent on every observation time. | |
