Cassava lace bug is a new potential pest in Indonesia. Further studies on this insect are useful for developing control strategy against this pest. Objective of this research was to determine the abundance and morphometry of cassava lace bug in Bojonggede and Tajurhalang Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, West Java. Research was conducted by collecting lace bug samples in nine plantations from two villages in Bojonggede and one village in Tajurhalang Subdistrict. Lace bug samples had their abundance determined. Lace bugs were identified based on their morphology and measured for their morphometry variables. Results showed that lace bugs were identified as Vatiga illudens (Drake) (Hemiptera: Tingidae) and their body size was larger than V. illudens found in Brazil and East Java. Highest lace bug abundance was found in plantations and plots of Susukan Village. Lace bug’s population in all three villages were dominated by male instead of female.
