      Abstract

Land cover changes in the Bogor Region may have an impact on reptiles that ?adapt to urban areas. Given the lack of information on the composition and ?distribution of reptiles in the Bogor area, the study aims to identify the composition ?and distribution of reptiles in the Bogor area. Data collection and analysis were ?carried out in May-June 2024 through citizen science observations on the ?iNaturalist website. The data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel and ArcGIS ?Desktop applications and presented with descriptive analysis. Ninety-two (92) ?reptile species from 21 families were recorded which include snake group (60 ?species), lizards (27 species), and turtles (5 species). Almost all the reptiles found ?were non-endemic species. Dramaga District and West Bogor District are the ?districts in Bogor Regency and Bogor City with the highest reports of reptile ?species. Snakes are the only dangerous reptile group found in the Bogor Region, ?classified according to WHO (2016). The data obtained is expected to serve as ?basic data for managing reptile diversity in the Bogor Region.?
