      Abstract

The increase in population, economic activities, and industries in Way Sekampung Watershed, Argoguruh Dam catchment area, has led to land use changes that have impacted the discharge of Way Sekampung River. This research was conducted to analyze the impact of land use changes over five years on discharge. The research findings revealed that land use experienced significant changes during the period of 2018-2022. The areas of secondary dryland forest, settlements, paddy fields, open land, and water bodies increased, while the areas of mixed dryland agriculture, plantations, and shrubs/bushes decreased. Land use changes from 2018 to 2022 resulted in an increase in river discharge from 11,3 m³/s to 12,3 m³/s. The SCS-CN model provided unsatisfactory results in estimating river discharge, indicating an inability to simulate conditions accurately.
