dc.description.abstract | Scindapsus pictus varian exotica merupakan tanaman hias famili Araceae
yang saat ini diminati oleh banyak pecinta tanaman karena memiliki nilai estetika
sendiri. Variegata merupakan salah satu dari mutasi yang menimbulkan
berubahnya warna daun. Streptomycin merupakan mutagen yang paling dominan
dapat menyebabkan tanaman menjadi variegata dengan cara mengganggu kerja gen
yang menjadi warna daun. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh mutan putatif pada
Scindapsus pictus varian exotica dengan menggunakan streptomycin pada berbagai
konsentrasi dan lama waktu perendaman yang masing-masing terdiri dari 5 taraf.
Konsentrasi 0 ppm, 250 ppm, 500 ppm, 750 ppm, 1000 ppm dan lama waktu
perendaman 0 jam, 12 jam, 24 jam, 36 jam, 48 jam. Penelitian dilaksanakan di
Mekar Hurip Nursery yang berlokasi di Kecamatan Tamansari, Kabupaten Bogor
yang berlangsung selama 5 bulan menggunakan Rancangan Kelompok Lengkap
Teracak (RKLT) dua faktor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jenis variegata yang
paling banyak dihasilkan berasal dari tanaman dengan konsentrasi 750 ppm dan
lama waktu perendaman 36 jam sebanyak 7 tanaman dan persentase 23,33 %. | |
dc.description.abstract | Scindapsus pictus exotica variant is an ornamental plant of the Araceae
family that is currently in demand by many plant lovers because it has its own
aesthetic value. Variegated is one of the mutations that causes changes in leaf color.
Streptomycin is the most dominant mutagen that can cause plants to become
variegated by disrupting the genes functions causing the change of leaf color. This
study aims to obtain putative mutants of Scindapsus pictus exotica variant using
streptomycin at various concentrations and different soaking times, each consisting
of 5 levels. Concentrations 0 ppm, 250 ppm, 500 ppm, 750 ppm, 1000 ppm and
soaking time 0 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 36 hours, 48 hours. The study was
conducted at Mekar Hurip Nursery located in Tamansari District, Bogor Regency,
which lasted for 5 months using a two-factor Randomized Complete Group Design
(RKLT). This results showed that the most variegated types produced came from
plants with a concentration of 750 ppm and a soaking time of 36 hours with a total
of 7 plants and a percentage of 23,33%. | |
