      Abstract

Cajuput solid waste can be converted into biopellets as a renewable energy source. This research evaluates the quality of these biopellets after torrefaction at different temperatures and durations, following SNI 8675-2018 standards. Key parameters assessed include moisture, ash, volatile matter, fixed carbon, density, and heating value. Findings show moisture content varied from 0.31% to 6.77%, volatile matter from 61.59% to 71.80%, ash from 0.27% to 0.53%, and fixed carbon from 20.91% to 37.82%. Biopellet density ranged from 0.13 g/cm³ to 0.23 g/cm³, with calorific values between 4,073 kcal/kg and 5,152 kcal/kg. The study concluded that the best quality biopellet was obtained by torrefying biopellets at 300 °C for 45 minutes.
