dc.description.abstractKarakteristik petani padi sawah di Desa Soropadan didominasi oleh petani laki-laki dengan usia lebih dari 45 tahun. Mayoritas responden menempuh pendidikan pada jenjang sekolah dasar dan sekolah menengah pertama. Adapun lama berusaha tani dan lama tinggal petani mayoritas lebih dari 20 tahun. Luas lahan yang diolah oleh petani berada dalam kategori sedang yaitu 0,51 hingga 2 hektar dengan status lahan milik sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi adaptasi petani dalam menghadapi bencana kekeringan. Pendekatan kualitatif dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara mendalam terhadap informan serta pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode survei dengan kuesioner kepada 35 responden dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan uji rank spearman. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa, bencana kekeringan berdampak pada sektor demografi, sosial ekonomi, institusi, psikologi, dan biofisik. dc.description.abstractThe characteristics of rice farmers in Soropadan Village are dominated by male farmers aged over 45 years. The majority of respondents have completed elementary and junior high school education. The duration of farming experience and length of residence for most farmers is more than 20 years. The area of land cultivated by farmers falls into the medium category, ranging from 0.51 to 2 hectares, with land ownership status being self-owned. This study aims to explore the adaptation strategies of farmers in facing drought disasters. A qualitative approach was used, involving observation and in- depth interviews with informants, as well as a quantitative approach through a survey method using a questionnaire to 35 respondents selected via purposive sampling. The study applied Spearman's rank test. The results indicate that drought disasters impact various sectors, including demographics, socioeconomics, institutions, psychology, and biophysics. Farmer characteristics, such as education level, length of residence, and land ownership status, are significantly related to the adaptation strategies employed by the rice farmers.
