      Pengaruh Pemberian Kompos Diperkaya Fly Ash-Bottom Ash (FABA) dan Lignit terhadap Sifat Fisika Tanah di Lahan Perkebunan Nanas

      Abstract
      Lahan PT Great Giant Pineapple (GGP) telah diolah dan dimanfaatkan secara intensif sejak tahun 1979, sehingga menyebabkan tanah di perkebunan tersebut mengalami degradasi. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas lahan di PT GGP yang telah terdegradasi adalah dengan menggunakan bahan pembenah tanah berupa kompos, limbah pembakaran batubara (fly ash-bottom ash atau disingkat FABA), dan lignit atau batubara kalori rendah. Kompos yang diperkaya dengan FABA dan lignit ini diperlukan agar kebutuhan bahan organik dan hara dalam tanah tercukupi sampai umur panen nanas dan produktivitas lahan tidak menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji manfaat kompos diperkaya FABA dan lignit terhadap sifat-sifat fisika tanah di lahan perkebunan nanas PT GGP. Perlakuan yang diujicobakan adalah: 1) kompos, 2) kompos diperkaya FABA dengan perbandingan 72:25, dan 3) kompos diperkaya FABA dan lignit dengan perbandingan 70:20:10. Masing-masing dosis yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 50 ton/ha diberikan secara tebar dan palir. Percobaan dilakukan pada petak uji berukuran 4 × 12 m yang diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Parameter yang diamati yaitu bobot isi, permeabilitas, kurva pF, dan penetrasi tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kompos diperkaya FABA dan lignit belum berpengaruh terhadap bobot isi tanah. Kompos diperkaya FABA yang diaplikasikan secara palir berpengaruh pada permeabilitas tanah, retensi air, dan ketahanan penetrasi tanah.
       
      PT Great Giant Pineapple (GGP) land has been cultivated and utilized intensively since 1979, causing the land in the plantation to degrade. One of the efforts to improve the quality of PT GGP's degraded land is using soil conditioning materials, including compost, coal combustion waste (fly ash-bottom ash or FABA), and lignite or low calorie coal. Compost enriched with FABA and lignite is needed so that the needs of organic matter and nutrients until the pineapple harvest age is fulfilled and land productivity does not decrease. This study aims to test the benefits of FABA and lignite-enriched compost on the physical properties of soil in PT GGP's pineapple plantation. The treatments tested were: 1) compost, 2) FABA-enriched compost with a ratio of 72:25, and 3) FABA and lignite-enriched compost with a ratio of 70:20:10. Each dose use is as much as 50 tons/ha given in spread and rows. The experiment was conducted on test plots measuring 4 × 12 m, repeated four times, and observed content bulk density, permeability, pF curve, and soil penetration. The results showed that compost enriched with FABA and lignite did not affect soil bulk density. Compost enriched with FABA applied in a row technique has affected soil permeability, water retention, and soil penetration resistance.
