      Abstract

Small-scale fisheries have an important role as a livelihood for the fishing community in Indonesia. However, the uncertainty of fuel oil (BBM) prices that fluctuate affects the income of the fishermen themselves. Efforts are made to minimize this impact, namely savings in the use of fuel that is more measurable. The purpose of this study is to calculate the consumption of Fuel Oil (BBM) from small-scale fisheries in PPN Tanjungpandan as the first step in efforts to save fishing operational costs. This study uses an accidental sampling method with a sample of 24 ships. The results of the study show that the average FUI value of small-scale fishing vessels requires 0.83 kg of fuel to land 1 kg of fish and incurs a fuel cost of Rp 203.5 for every Rp 1,000.00 of gross income obtained. Exhaust emissions of CO, CO2, PM, NOx, and SOx per 1 kg of fish are 0.0027 kg; 0.0010 kg; 0.0001 kg; 0.0040 kg; and 0.0069 kg. The results obtained from this study can be used as a database for further research related to the efficiency of the use of small-scale fishery fuel. Keywords: database, FUI, fuel consumption, gas emissions, savings
