      Sifat Antioksidan Kulit dan Balsam Rasamala (Liquidambar excelsa (Noronha) Oken) Terinduksi Metil Jasmonat

      Abstract
      Rasamala (Liquidambar excelsa (Noronha) Oken) merupakan tumbuhan yang banyak memiliki manfaat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi balsam yang diinduksi melalui metode mekanis-kimiawi, diekstraksi dalam pelarut etanol dan analisis komponen kimia, serta mengevaluasi aktivitas antioksidan terhadap 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). Induksi kimiawi metil jasmonat 10% (v/v) dilakukan pada klasifikasi tingkat pertumbuhan pohon, yaitu tingkat pohon dan pancang. Hasil induksi menunjukkan bahwa klasifikasi tingkat pohon mengeksudasi balsam, sedangkan klasifikasi tingkat pancang tidak. Balsam, kulit kontrol (CT) diambil pada bagian batang yang tidak diinduksi, dan kulit perlakuan (TR) dari batang yang diinduksi kemudian dilakukan ekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol. Rendemen yang dihasilkan sebesar 8,33% untuk balsam, 1,07% untuk kulit CT, dan 1,18% untuk kulit TR. Analisis komponen kimia Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrophotometer (GC-MS) mengidentifikasi senyawa dominan pada kulit yaitu 1,2,3-Benzenetriol dan ?-Sitosterol, sedangkan pada balsam cinnamyl cinnamate dan 1-(2-Methoxyphenyl)-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione. Aktivitas antioksidan kulit menunjukkan kemampuan sedang dan balsam menunjukkan kemampuan yang lemah.
       
      Rasamala (Liquidambar excelsa (Noronha) Oken) is a plant with numerous benefits. This study aims to explore the balsam, induced through mechanical-chemical methods, extracted in ethanol solvent, and to analyze the chemical components, as well as evaluate its antioxidant activity the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH). Chemical induction 10% (v/v) methyl jasmonate was carried out on tree growth classifications, namely tree level and sapling level. The induction outcomes demonstrated that trees level were of exuding balsam, where as sapling level did not produce. The balsam, control bark (CT) obtained from non-induced tree sections, and treatment bark (TR) from induced sections was then extracted using maceration method with ethanol solvent. The resultant yields were 8.33% for balsam, 1.07% CT, and 1.18% TR. Chemical component analysis Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) identified predominant compounds in the bark, including 1,2,3-Benzenetriol and ?-Sitosterol, while cinnamyl cinnamate and 1-(2-Methoxyphenyl)-2,5-dihydro-1H-pyrrole-2,5-dione were detected in the balsam. Antioxidant activity assays revealed moderate by the bark and the balsam exhibited weak.
