dc.description.abstractLimbah cair industri umumnya mengandung berbagai polutan seperti minyak, alkohol, fenol, pewarna sintetis, dan logam berat. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk menurunkan polutan tersebut adalah metode adsorpsi. Pada penelitian ini adsorben disintesis dari arang aktif pohon bakau dan arang aktif batu bara menggunakan aktivator kimia asam fosfat yang direndam selama 24 jam, kemudian dikeringkan menggunakan oven pada suhu 150 °C selama 30 menit. Kemampuan adsorben diamati dengan pengujian fisika dan kimia. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh parameter fisika menunjukkan nilai batas aman baku mutu mengacu pada PERMENLH No. 5 Tahun 2014 tentang baku mutu air limbah. Efektivitas adsorben terhadap parameter kimia belum bisa ditentukan secara kuantitatif dikarenakan parameter kimia pada air limbah masih memiliki kadar awal yang rendah dibandingkan dengan baku mutu, sedangkan pada pengujian kadar Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) masih menunjukkan bahwa adsorben belum bisa menurunkan kadar COD.
dc.description.abstractIndustrial liquid waste generally contains various pollutants such as oil, alcohol, phenol, synthetic dyes, and heavy metals. One of the methods that can be used to lower these pollutants is the adsorption method. In this study, the adsorbent was synthesised from mangrove activated charcoal and coal activated charcoal using phosphoric acid chemical activators soaked for 24 hours, then dried using an oven at 150 °C for 30 minutes. The ability of adsorbents was observed by physical and chemical testing. Based on the results obtained, the physical parameters show that the standard quality safe limit value refers to PERMENLH No. 5 of 2014 concerning waste water quality standards. The effectiveness of adsorbents on chemical parameters can not be determined quantitatively because the chemical parameters in wastewater still have a low initial level compared to the quality standard, while in Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) levels testing shows that it has not been able to lower COD levels.
