      Abstract
Limbah kulit kayu akasia memiliki metabolit sekunder, yaitu tanin.

Acacia bark waste has the secondary metabolite namely tannin. Tannins contain antibacterial and can be used as anti-acne creams. The purpose of this research is to make anti-acne cream by knowing the phenol and tannin values of acacia bark extract, determining the physicochemical characteristics of cream products based on tannin extracts from acacia bark waste, and evaluating the antibacterial activity of anti-acne cream formulas with variations in extract concentrations of 1% (F1), 3% (F2), and 5% (F3) (w/w). The research method began with extraction, qualitative tannin test, phenol and tannin content test, cream formulation, cream evaluation. The results showed that the phenol and tannin contents were found to be low. The conclusion is antiacne cream formulation from acacia bark extract with different extract concentrations of 1% (F1), 3% (F2), and 5% (F3) (w/w) gave no significant effect on physicochemical parameters and antibacterial activity. The resulting phenolics, total tannins, T/F (%), condensed tannins, and hydrolyzed tannins were 126667 mg GAE/100 g extract, 13667 mg GAE/100 g extract, 10.64%, 0.01 mg/L, and 0.13 mg/L, respectively.
