      Abstract

Shrimp farmers’ efforts to increase the production of vannamei shrimp often face various challenges, including disease outbreaks that lead to decreased appetite, damage to digestive organs (hepatopancreas), and mass mortality. The provision of feed supplements is expected to restore appetite and enhance optimal shrimp growth, thereby minimizing shrimp mortality. This final project aims to evaluate the application of feed supplements on the growth performance of vannamei shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei. Activities conducted include observing the effects of orally administered feed supplements on growth performance and survival rates of vannamei shrimp. The results obtained show that the application of feed supplements has a positive effect on the growth performance of vannamei shrimp, as evidenced by an increase in weekly Average Body Weight (ABW) and fluctuations in Average Daily Gain (ADG) during the observation period. The survival rate (SR) obtained was 27%. Changes in weather, environmental conditions, and water quality in the cultivation ponds are important factors affecting the growth performance of vannamei shrimp.
