      Respons Fisiologis Sapi Peranakan Limousin dan Sapi Peranakan Simmental pada Kelompok Umur yang Berbeda

      Abstract
      Sapi peranakan limousin dan sapi peranakan simmental merupakan ternak ruminansia tipe pedaging yang ketersediaannya belum dapat memenuhi kebutuhan daging di DKI Jakarta. Pemanasan kota yang terjadi di DKI Jakarta dapat memengaruhi produktivitas sapi yang ditandai melalui perubahan kondisi fisiologis sapi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis respons fisiologis sapi peranakan limousin dan sapi peranakan simmental pada kelompok umur yang berbeda berdasarkan kondisi lingkungan mikroklimat di DKI Jakarta. Parameter respons fisiologis yang diamati meliputi suhu rektal, frekuensi pernapasan, denyut jantung, dan suhu permukaan tubuh, sedangkan kondisi mikroklimat meliputi suhu, kelembaban, dan indeks kelembaban suhu (THI). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji T. Hasil menunjukkan kondisi lingkungan berada pada kategori cekaman sedang hingga berat (THI 80-86). Suhu rektal dan frekuensi denyut jantung pada sapi peranakan limousin muda nyata lebih tinggi (P<0,05) daripada sapi peranakan limousin dewasa. Frekuensi denyut jantung pada sapi peranakan simmental muda nyata lebih tinggi (P<0,05) dibandingkan sapi peranakan simmental dewasa.
       
      Limousin crossbreed and Simmental crossbreed cattle are ruminants of the meat type whose availability cannot meet the demand for meat in DKI Jakarta. Environmental factors, especially urban warming in DKI Jakarta can affect the productivity and physiological condition of cattle. This research analyzes the physiological responses of limousine crossbreed and simmental crossbreed cattle in different age groups based on microclimate environmental conditions in DKI Jakarta. Physiological responses parameters were rectal temperature, respiratory frequency, heart rate, and body surface temperature, whereas microclimate conditions were temperature, humidity, and temperature humidity index (THI). Data obtained would be process with T test. The result showed that environmental conditions are in the moderate to severe stress category (THI 80-86). Rectal temperature and heart rate in limousin crossbreed calf were significantly higher (P<0,05) than in limousin crossbreed bull. Heart rate in simmental crossbreed calf was significantly higher (P<0,05) than in simmental crossbreed bull.
