      Abstract

The forest can become an alternative to treating children with autism, but not every parent knows about its benefits for their autistic children. This study’s purpose is to identify the knowledge of parents with autistic children about the benefits of forests as an alternative treatment and their origins as well as to create a strategy to increase their knowledge of the benefits of the forest for autistic children. This research was conducted from January 2024 until March 2024 in the Jabodetabek region. Twenty parents were interviewed for this study. The analysis methods used for this research are comparative and thematic descriptive, while the strategy is devised descriptively. This research confirms that most parents know of the benefits of forests for autistic children, but the quality of said information and its distribution is still subpar. Every strategy is tailored based on the parent who has or hasn’t been to the forest with their children
