dc.description.abstractUlat sutra Eri dapat mengonsumsi berbagai daun, diantaranya daun jarak dan daun singkong. Budidaya ulat sutra Eri menghasilkan frass yang kurang dimanfaatkan. Frass mengandung unsur hara yang tinggi sehingga berpotensi dijadikan pupuk organik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kualitas pupuk frass dari ulat sutra Eri yang diberi pakan daun singkong dan daun jarak kepyar yang diujikan pada tanaman jagung. Aroma, tektur, warna dan sifat kimia pupuk dianalisis secara deskriptif. pH dan suhu dianalisis menggunakan Uji-T. Percobaan efektivitas pupuk pada tanaman jagung menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak lengkap (RAL). Sifat fisik pupuk sesuai dengan SNI tetapi memiliki aroma sedikit asam. Sifat fisik pH dan suhu menunjukkan tidak berbeda nyata pada setiap perlakuan. Pupuk frass menunjukkan unsur NPK yang sesuai dengan Permentan. Penggunaan pupuk frass berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata pada diameter batang dan jumlah daun. Perlakuan pupuk frass dari ulat sutra Eri yang diberi pakan daun jarak kepyar lebih baik pada parameter tinggi tanaman. Pupuk frass berpotensi digunakan sebagai alternatif pengganti pupuk NPK untuk persemaian.
dc.description.abstractEri silkworms can consume various leaves, including castor leaves and cassava leaves. Eri silkworm cultivation yields of underused frass. Frass contains high nutrients so it has the potential to be used as organic fertilizer. This study aims to analyze the quality of frass fertilizer from Eri silkworms fed cassava leaves and castor leaves on corn plants. The physical and chemical properties of fertilizers were analyzed descriptively. pH and temperature were analyzed using the T-test. Fertilizer effectiveness experiment on corn seedlings used the Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The physical properties of the fertilizer have changed according to SNI but have a slightly sour smell. Temperature and revealed that each treatment did not significantly different. Frass fertilizer shows NPK elements which are in according to Permentan. The usage of frass fertilizer had a significant effect on plant height but had no significant effect on stem diameter and number of leaves. In terms of plant height, the fertilizer treatment frass of Eri silkworms fed castor leaves performed better. Fertilizer frass has the potential to be used as an alternative to NPK fertilizer for seeding.
