      Evaluasi Penggunaan Pakan Mengandung Tepung Maggot (Black Soldier Fly) dan Air Minum Mengandung Bakteri Asam Laktat Terhadap Karkas Ayam IPB-D1

      Abstract
      Maggot BSF merupakan sumber protein pada pakan unggas. Namun, memiliki kandungan anti nutrisi yaitu zat kitin. Penggunaan probiotik diharapkan membantu proses penyerapan nutrien khususnya disaluran pencernaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi karkas dan potongan komersial karkas ayam IPB-D1 yang diberi pakan mengandung tepung maggot dan air minum mengandung Bakteri Asam Laktat (BAL). Ayam yang digunakan merupakan ayam IPB D1 sebanyak 240 ekor dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 taraf perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik, perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap bobot potong, persentase bobot karkas, leher dan kepala, serta persentase karkas komersial seperti punggung, sayap, paha atas, dan paha bawah. Sedangkan parameter lainnya tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kombinasi pemberian tepung maggot sebanyak 15% dalam pakan dan penambahan bakteri asam laktat dalam air minum tidak meningkatkan bobot karkas dan bobot potongan komersial karkas pada penelitian ini.
       
      BSF maggot is a source of protein in poultry feed. However, it contains anti nutrients, namely chitin substances. The use of probiotics is expected to help the absorption process of nutrients, especially in the digestive tract. This study aims to evaluate carcasses and commercial cuts of IPB-D1 chicken carcasses fed with feed containing maggot flour and drinking water containing Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB). The chickens used were 240 IPB D1 chickens using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replicates. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Based on the results of statistical tests, the treatments had a significant effect (P < 0.05) on slaughter weight, percentage of carcass weight, neck and head, and percentage of commercial carcasses such as back, wings, upper thighs, and lower thighs. While other parameters were not significantly different (P>0.05). It can be concluded that the use of 15% maggot meal in feed decreased slaughter weight, and the addition of lactic acid bacteria in drinking water increased slaughter weight.
