      Pengembangan Produk Cocopeat Fermentasi dari Limbah Kelapa pada DD Orchid Nursery

      Abstract
      Indonesia memiliki potensi besar dalam hortikultura, terutama tanaman hias seperti anggrek. DD Orchid Nursery di Kota Batu menghadapi masalah limbah kelapa dari produksi anggrek. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi literatur. Analisis SWOT mengungkap kelemahan dalam pengelolaan limbah dan peluang dari kesadaran lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan cocopeat fermentasi sebagai solusi ramah lingkungan dan bernilai ekonomi. Studi kelayakan bisnis menunjukkan cocopeat fermentasi layak dengan proyeksi keuntungan positif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan proyek ini layak dijalankan dengan NPV Rp80.397.306, Net B/C 3,7, Gross B/C 1,45, IRR 85%, dan payback period 2 tahun 2 bulan. Pengembangan ini mengurangi masalah lingkungan dan meningkatkan daya saing serta keberlanjutan usaha DD Orchid Nursery.
       
      Indonesia has great potential in horticulture, particularly ornamental plants like orchids. DD Orchid Nursery in Kota Batu faces the issue of coconut waste accumulation from orchid production. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and literature studies. SWOT analysis revealed weaknesses in waste management and opportunities from increased environmental awareness. This research aims to develop fermented cocopeat as an eco-friendly and economically valuable solution. The business feasibility study indicates that fermented cocopeat is viable with positive profit projections. The analysis shows that this project is feasible with an NPV of Rp80,397,306, a Net B/C of 3.7, a Gross B/C of 1.45, an IRR of 85%, and a payback period of 2 years and 2 months. This development reduces environmental issues and enhances the competitiveness and sustainability of DD Orchid Nursery.
