      Abstract

The palm oil commodity in Indonesia is one of the country's foreign exchange earners which plays an important role in national development. The area of oil palm plantations in Indonesia continues to grow, reaching 15.30 million hectares in 2023 with a productivity of 12.42 kg/hectare. Increased productivity can be achieved through proper maintenance, one of which is proper fertilization so that it is efficient and effective. The final project objective is to improve the performance of fertilizers by using fertilizer carriers from used fertilizer sacks. Test results of a fertilizer carrying tool made from used fertilizer sacks at PT Sukamulya Gardens. Buluh Cawang Plantation showed that 100% of the workforce (TK) felt safe using used fertilizer sacks (GKB) and company carrying tools (GP), 70% of TK felt safe using GKP and 30% GP, lost fertilizer using GP 1.22 % while GKB does not exist. In addition, survey results show that the use of GP causes work accidents in 50% of the fertilizer workforce.
