      Abstract

Fertilizer machines for oil palm are typically designed to facilitate fertilization in large oil palm plantations. The aim of this final project is to determine the effectiveness of mechanical fertilization on mature oil palm plants (TM). Research method is observation and interviews. The result of mechanical fertilization is uniform fertilizer distribution. The number of workers needed is four, with a labor cost of Rp106,193.28 per ton. In comparison, the labor cost for manual fertilization is Rp186,819.89 per ton, and it also requires eight workers. Since mechanical fertilization requires fewer workers than manual fertilization, it is more cost-efficient and easier to supervise. Mechanical fertilization only be used in flat to gently sloping areas with a slope of 0-5 degrees.
