      Abstract

Weeds in oil palm plants will compete for nutrients, light, microclimate, and clog drainage channels that can cause the area to be submerged in water, making it difficult to evacuate the yield and ultimately reduce plantation productivity. The purpose of this final project is to find out the dominant weed species in the block studied, knowing the community coefficient in the block studied. The method used in data collection is the 50 cm x 50 cm quadrant method, knowing the community coefficient of each block and knowing the characteristics after spraying. The results showed that weeds in blocks 133, 142, and 142 were Melastoma malabathicum with SDR 12.37%, 11.86%, and 9.54%; in block 128 Mimosa pudica with SDR 12.07; and in block 143 Clidemia hirta with SDR 13.44%. The community coefficient of each block is almost homogeneous except blocks 142 and 143. The observation results of the first week of weed color began to turn yellowish; the second week of weed color had begun to turn yellow, and some died. The third week after application showed the characteristics of the weeds, almost all dead with a brownish and dry color.
