      Abstract

The transportation system is important in the fish distribution process because it affects the stress level of fish during and after transportation, the extract content in sweet potato leaves such as polyphenols that act as relaxants and hallucinogenic effects during the transportation process. This study aims to analyze the effect of adding sweet potato leaf extract (Ipomoea batatas) to the transportation of tilapia seeds (Oreochromis niloticus) with a closed system for 24 hours on water quality, blood glucose, survival, and post-transportation growth. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and three replications. The treatments consisted of treatment control (K), addition of 0.25% extract (A1), addition of 0.5% extract (A2). The addition of extract with a dose of 0.25% increased survival by 92% compared to other treatments.
