      Abstract

Shrimp is one of Indonesia's important cultivation commodities. Shrimp cultivation in Indonesia is projected to grow from 911,215 tons in 2019 to 1,520,836 tons in 2024. This final project aims to analyze and identify the correlation of plankton and its relationship to the specific growth rate and survival of white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei that occurs at PT BBS, Tasikmalaya West Java. The observation points consist of four sample points determined based on the probability sampling method by considering the representation of zoning in one pond. Obtaining the pearson correlation coefficient shows that there are various correlations between the growth rate of shrimp reared and the density of phytoplankton in ponds. The results of the plankton correlation showed that the plankton was dominated by the Chloropyta type in pond A, while in ponds B and C the Cyanophyta type was dominated. From the results of this dominance, the white shrimp production performance of PT BBS ponds, Tasikmalaya, West Java, obtained a relatively high survival value, in Pond A the survival value was 81.55%, Pond B 96.43%, and Pond C 97.09%.
