      Validasi Metode Analisis Benzena Menggunakan Kromatografi Gas Spektrometri Massa di PT Medialab Indonesia

      Abstract
      Udara adalah komponen penting bagi kehidupan di bumi yang terdiri dari gasgas seperti nitrogen dan oksigen. Pencemaran udara seperti benzena, merupakan masalah serius yang diatur dalam Permenaker No.5 Tahun 2018 dengan konsentrasi maksimum sebesar 0,5 µg/mL. Metode analisis benzena pada sampel udara lingkungan kerja merujuk pada NIOSH 1501 Edisi 4 Tahun 2003 menggunakan kromatografi gas dengan perubahan jenis detektor menjadi spektrometri massa (GC-MS). Hasil validasi metode benzena pada penelitian ini adalah valid berdasarkan parameter uji linearitas yaitu koefisien korelasi (r) > 0,9996, nilai presisi diperoleh %RSD = 0,5 CV Horwitz dan %RSD < 8%, nilai akurasi metode sebesar 105,29% ± 5,29% berada dalam rentang 75-120%, nilai LoD 0,0059 µg/mL, dan LoQ 0,3499 µg/mL. Metode yang dihasilkan kuat dan tangguh terhadap perubahan kecil dari variasi laju alir gas pembawa sehingga metode valid dan dapat digunakan untuk analisis rutin di PT Medialab Indonesia.
       
      Air is an important component for life on earth, consisting of gases such as nitrogen and oxygen. Air pollution, such as benzene, is a serious problem regulated in Permenaker No.5 of 2018 with a maximum concentration of 0.5 µg/mL. The method for analyzing benzene in work environment air samples refers to NIOSH method 1501 Edition 4 of 2003 using gas chromatography with a change in detector type to mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The validation results of the benzene method in this study were valid based on the linearity test parameters, namely correlation coefficient (r) > 0.9996, the precision value obtained was %RSD = 0.5 CV Horwitz and %RSD < 8%, the accuracy value of the method was 105.29% ± 5.29% is in the range 75-120%, LoD value is 0.0059 µg/mL, and LoQ is 0.3499 µg/mL. The resulting method is robust and robust to small changes in carrier gas flow rate variationsso the method is valid and can be used for routine analysis at PT Medialab Indonesia.
