      Abstract

Dragonflies live in various habitats, such as rivers, lakes, swamps, forests, and fields or habitats close to water. Mendanau Belitung Island has several ecosystems consisting of forests, mangroves, beaches, rivers, fields and plantations. This habitat is an ideal habitat for dragonflies to breed. The purpose of this study was to analyze dragonfly ecotourism resources, the level of children's interest in dragonflies and dragonfly tourism on Mendanau Island, Belitung. Data collection of dragonfly resources was carried out using the transect path method with a length of 100 m and a width of 20 m. The habitats in this study were 8 habitats with 41 points. Dragonfly ecotourism resources on Mendanau Island were 438 individuals with 32 species from 6 families. The index value of all research habitats is the Shannon-Wiener species diversity index (H') of 2.52, and the species evenness index (E) of 0.72. The community similarity index was obtained using the Jaccard Community Similarity Index (ISj) with the highest community similarity index between the beach habitat and the river habitat, which was 61%. Respondents at the level of children's interest in dragonflies and dragonfly tourism were on average 11-12 years old and the gender was dominated by men as many as 25 out of 32 respondents. The output of this final project is a program, tourism poster, and dragonfly tourism guidebook.
