dc.description.abstract | Every society will definitely experience social change. Social change is a change
that occurs in human life which includes changes in behavior patterns, social values, social institutions, layers in society, power and authority, and social interactions. This research aims to analyze social changes in coastal communities and community attitudes towards social change in Pangandaran Village. The research was conducted in Pangandaran Village using a mix method approach. The qualitative approach was carried out using in-depth interviews with informants, while the quantitative approach used questionnaires for 60 respondents. The research results show that the source of social change in the Pangandaran Village community is caused by tourism development. The impact of tourism development can be seen from changes in social structure and levels of welfare. This research also shows that people's attitudes towards social change are dominated by positive attitudes. The characteristics of age have a significant correlation with attitudes towards social change. Meanwhile, the characteristics of gender, type of work, level of education, and level of income do not have a significant correlation with attitudes towards social change | |
