      Perbandingan Kualitas Semen Bangsa Sapi Angus dengan Wagyu di Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan Singosari

      Abstract
      SUCI NURUL ANISA. Perbandingan Kualitas Semen Bangsa Sapi Angus dengan Sapi Wagyu di Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan Singosari. Dibimbing oleh DWI BUDIONO. Evaluasi kualitas semen diperlukan untuk mendapatkan bibit ternak yang unggul dan berkualitas dalam proses inseminasi buatan (IB). Penelitian bertujuan membandingkan kualitas semen segar, semen cair dan semen beku pada sapi Angus dan sapi Wagyu dengan menggunakan parameter warna, pH, konsistensi, motilitas, konsentrasi, volume, before freezing (BF), dan post thawing motility (PTM). Pengujian paramater kualitas semen menggunakan analisis Uji – T. Hasil pemeriksaan semen cair dan semen segar kedua bangsa sapi memiliki warna semen putih susu. Konsistensi semen cair pada sapi angus dan wagyu yaitu sedang dan kental. Hasil rataan semen cair sapi angus dan wagyu pada parameter pH sebesar 6,44±0,19 dan 6,44±0,19, motilitas IVOS(%) sebesar 73,76±9,27 dan 71,67±9,13, abnormalitas IVOS (%) sebesar 7,71±2,93 dan 7,07±3,49, konsentrasi sebesar 1112,22±375,54 dan 1484,78±252,46, dan volume sebesar 7,77±2,66 dan 6,46±2,13. Hasil Uji–T pada konsentrasi semen segar kedua bangsa sapi memiliki nilai berbeda nyata (P<0,05).
       
      SUCI NURUL ANISA. The Comparison of Semen Quality of Angus Bull with Wagyu Bull at Singosari Artificial Insemination Center. Supervised by DWI BUDIONO. Evaluation of semen quality is necessary to obtain superior and quality livestock seeds in the process of artificial insemination (IB). This study aimed to compare the quality of fresh semen, liquid semen and frozen semen in Angus bull and Wagyu cattle using the parameters of color, pH, consistency, motility, concentration, volume, before freezing (BF), and post thawing motility (PTM). Testing semen quality parameters using T-test analysis. The results of the examination of liquid semen and fresh semen of both cattle breeds have a milky white semen color. The consistency of liquid semen in angus and wagyu cows is medium and thick. The average results of liquid semen of angus and wagyu cows in the pH parameter were 6.44 ± 0.19 and 6.44 ± 0.19, IVOS motility (%) of 73.76 ± 9.27 and 71.67 ± 9.13, IVOS abnormality (%) of 7.71 ± 2.93 and 7.07 ± 3.49, concentration of 1112.22 ± 375.54 and 1484.78 ± 252.46, and volume of 7.77 ± 2.66 and 6.46 ± 2.13. The results of the T-test on the concentration of fresh semen of the two nations of cattle have significantly different values (P<0.05).
