Studi Kasus Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP): Variasi Gejala Klinis FIP pada Kucing di Xing Pet Care & Clinic
Abstract
Kucing merupakan hewan populer. Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) disebabkan Feline Corona Virus (FCoV). FIP ditularkan secara fecal-oral yang menyebabkan diare. Infeksi parah menyebabkan gejala klinis seperti demam, kurang nafsu makan, kelelahan, penurunan berat badan, inkoordinasi, ascites, muntah, diare, ikterus. Cats are popular animals. Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is caused by Feline Corona Virus (FCoV). FIP is transmitted fecally-orally causing diarrhea. Severe infection causes clinical symptoms such as fever, lack of appetite, fatigue, weight loss, incoordination, ascites, vomiting, diarrhea, jaundice. Data collection of clinical symptoms of FIP needs to be done so that medical personnel know the variation of FIP symptoms and facilitate the determination of FIP treatment. This study aims to provide information on the variation of clinical symptoms of FIP. Secondary data were taken from the medical records of FIP patients. The results of the data were analyzed, discussed, compared to literature studies. The results of this study are information on the variation of FIP symptoms: general / non specific symptoms: no appetite, weakness, pallor, jaundice, dehydration, fever; abdominal symptoms: ascites, renomegali; respiration: pleural effusion, shortness of breath; neurology: ataxia, headtilt, nystagmus; and symptoms of other diseases when the cat has FIP: nasal discharge, stomatitis.
