dc.description.abstractMetode meta-analisis dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi efek suplementasi seng terhadap kinerja produksi, kualitas susu, kekebalan, dan plasma darah sapi perah. Penelitian ini menganalisis 25 artikel dengan 117 titik data dengan metode mixed model menggunakan software SAS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan level suplementasi zinc meningkatkan produksi susu secara kuadratik (P<0.05) dan menurunkan Somatic Cell Count (SCC). Peningkatan level suplementasi zinc juga meningkat secara linier (P<0.05)terhadap IgM, IgG, dan zinc darah. Namun, zinc tidak berpengaruh pada kualitas susu dan biokimia darah. Sumber zinc organik dan anorganik meningkatkan (P<0.05) IgG, zinc darah, dan penurunan (P<0.05) SCC dibandingkan dengan control. Terdapat adanya interaksi (P<0.05) yang diamati antara level dan sumber zinc pada parameter IgM dan zinc darah. Zinc organik memberikan efek yang lebih tinggi (P<0.05) dalam meningkatkan IgM dan konsentrasi zinc darah dibandingkan dengan sumber anorganik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian kadar dan sumber zinc organik memberikan pengaruh yang lebih menguntungkan terhadap sapi perah dibandingkan zinc anorganik.
dc.description.abstractA meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the effects of zinc supplementation on production performance, milk quality, immunity, and blood plasma of dairy cows. The study analyzed 25 related articles with 117 data points using a mixed model method with SAS web. The results showed that zinc supplementation level quadratically increased (P<0.05) milk yield and decreased somatic cell count (SCC). Zinc supplementation level also linearly increased (P<0.05) IgM, IgG, and blood zinc. However, zinc had no effect on milk quality and blood biochemistry. In comparison to the control, both organic and inorganic zinc sources increased (P<0.05) IgG, blood zinc, and decreased (P<0.05) SCC. There was an interaction (P<0.05) observed between zinc level and source on IgM and blood zinc concentrations. Organic zinc produced a higher effect (P<0.05) in increasing IgM and blood zinc concentration than that of the inorganic source. It can be concluded that the provision of levels and sources of organic zinc has a more favorable effect on dairy cows than inorganic zinc
