      Pengaruh Variasi Merek Tepung Tapioka Sebagai Perekat Dalam Pembuatan Briket Biomassa Dari Arang Tempurung Kelapa

      Abstract
      Pemanfaatan energi biomassa dari limbah tempurung kelapa menjadi briket merupakan langkah efektif dalam mengurangi limbah dan sebagai bahan bakar alternatif. Penelitian ini menganalisis penggunaan variasi merek tepung tapioka sebagai perekat dalam pembuatan briket biomassa dari limbah tempurung kelapa. Tujuannya yaitu 1) mengidentifikasi pengaruh variasi merek tepung tapioka terhadap kadar air, kadar abu, nilai kalor, indeks kehancuran, dan laju pembakaran briket dan 2) pembuatan briket yang menghasilkan briket terbaik. Empat merek tepung tapioka yang diuji adalah merek A “Pak Tani Gunung”, merek B “Rose Brand”, merek C “Gunung Agung”, dan merek D “Bola Deli”. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi merek tepung tapioka berpengaruh terhadap nilai kadar abu. Briket dengan kualitas terbaik dihasilkan menggunakan tepung tapioka merek A “Pak Tani Gunung”, dengan nilai kadar air rata-rata 13,41%, kadar abu 2,93%, indeks kehancuran 0,63%, laju pembakaran 4,1 g/menit, lama pembakaran 57,33 menit, dan nilai kalor 7511 kal/g.
       
      The utilization of biomass energy from coconut shell waste into briquettes is an effective step in reducing waste and serving as an alternative fuel. This study analyzes the use of various brands of tapioca flour as a binder in the production of biomass briquettes from coconut shell waste. The objectives are 1) to identify the effect of different brands of tapioca flour on the moisture content, ash content, calorific value, drop test index, and burning rate of the briquettes, and 2) to produce the best quality briquettes.
