      Abstract
      PT XYZ memproduksi produk kain jadi knitting yang memiliki persentase tingkat defect yang tinggi selama periode Maret sampai September 2023 yaitu 8,3%. Sedangkan, batas yang ditetapkan oleh perusahaan yaitu 5%. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya untuk menurunkan persentase defect produk. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meminimasi tingkat defect produk kain jadi knitting dengan melakukan usulan perbaikan terhadap kualitas produk kain jadi knitting menggunakan Metode Six Sigma dengan fase pendekatan DMAIC dan alat pengendalian kualitas. Hasil analisis yang dilakukan terdapat beberapa penyebab defect nggaler putih (garis putih) yaitu faktor man, material, machine, methods, money, dan environment. Adapun faktor utama penyebab defect nggaler putih (garis putih) adalah faktor man. Rencana perbaikan dilakukan dengan membuat alat kontrol seperti pocket book implementasi 5S, checksheet quality process in line, kartu kendali quality control, dan display visual penerapan SOP.
       
      PT XYZ produces finished knitted fabric products that have a high percentage of defect during period March to September 2023, which is 8.3%. Meanwhile, the limit set by the company is 5%. Therefore, efforts are needed to reduce the percentage of product defects. This research was carried out to minimize the level of defects in finished knitted fabric products by proposing improvements to the quality of finished knitted fabric products using the Six Sigma Method with DMAIC approach phases and quality control tools. The results of the analysis carried out there are several causes of defects, namely man, material, machine, methods, money, and environment factors. The main factor causing white lines defects is the man factor. The improvement plan is carried out by making control tools such as 5S implementation pocket books, quality process in line checksheets, quality control card, and visual displays of SOP implementation.
