Superovulation is a stage in the embryo transfer program using hormones in female cows in order to increase the number of ovums to be ovulated and produce potential embryos. The purpose of the study was to describe the differences in the superovulation response of simental and limousin cattle using the subcutaneous method and to provide information on new methods in cattle through superovulation treatment. The study used 19 cows, 10 simental cows and 9 limousin cows. The research started from the selection of donor cows, with superovulation where the stages will go through the first stage is synchronization of lambing, superovulation, artificial insemination, flushing (embryo harvest), embryo evaluation. Simental cattle response rate percentage 50%, Limosin cattle 44.4%. Recovery rate in simental cows 80%, limousin cows 82%. The average results of embryos worthy of transfer in limousin cows 4.5%, not worthy of transfer 10.5%, in simental cows the average worthy of transfer 4.8%, and not worthy of transfer 4.8%.
