      Abstract
      Media monitoring berbasis sig-monitoring merupakan aktivitas yang bertujuan untuk memantau pemberitaan di media massa menggunakan tool sig-monitoring. Humas PT Semen Padang masih menemukan pemberitaan negatif yang tidak terdeteksi oleh sig-monitoring sehingga harus tetap teliti dalam pelaksanaan media monitoring. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Tujuan utama penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis media monitoring berbasis sig-monitoring dalam mempertahankan reputasi PT Semen Padang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa aktivitas media monitoring berbasis sig-monitoring terdiri atas pengumpulan data (data mining), analisis pemberitaan, dan pelaporan. Aktivitas media monitoring ini berbeda dengan aktivitas media monitoring yang dilaksanakan secara manual karena semua pemberitaan terkait perusahaan sudah terekam dan terdeteksi di sig-monitoring. Hal ini memudahkan humas PT Semen Padang dalam memantau pemberitaan di media massa secara cepat, sehingga jika terdapat pemberitaan negatif terkait perusahaan dapat segera ditangani dan mencegah terjadinya krisis yang merusak reputasi PT Semen Padang.
       
      Sig-monitoring-based media monitoring is an activity that aims to monitor news in the mass media using a sig-monitoring tool. Public Relations of PT Semen Padang still finds negative news that is not detected by sig-monitoring so it must remain thorough in the implementation of media monitoring. This study uses descriptive qualitative research with observation, interviews, and literature studies data collection methods. The main purpose of this study is to analyze sig monitoring-based media monitoring in maintaining the reputation of PT Semen Padang. The results of the study show that sig-monitoring-based media monitoring activities consist of data collection (data mining), news analysis, and reporting. This media monitoring activity is different from media monitoring activities that are carried out manually because all news related to the company has been recorded and detected in sig-monitoring. This makes it easier for PT Semen Padang
