      Pembuatan Alat Filtrasi Limbah Greywater sebagai Sumber Air Alternatif bagi Petani Ikan Nila di Sukabumi

      Abstract
      Penggunaan limbah greywater sebagai sumber air alternatif bagi petani ikan nila di Sukabumi merupakan solusi potensial untuk mengatasi kekurangan air selama musim kemarau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat pengolahan air limbah greywater menggunakan sistem filtrasi dengan media ijuk aren, arang aktif, zeolite, dan pasir silika. Metode yang digunakan melibatkan filtrasi up flow melalui dua chamber dengan media filter berlapis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas air setelah filtrasi memenuhi baku mutu air kelas III nasional dan baku mutu air limbah domestik, dengan penurunan signifikan pada Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Amonia Total, dan Detergen, serta peningkatan Dissolved Oxygen (DO). Uji organoleptik pada ikan nila yang dibesarkan menggunakan air hasil filtrasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada rasa, aroma, dan tekstur ikan dibandingkan dengan ikan yang dibesarkan di media mata air. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa sistem filtrasi yang dikembangkan tidak hanya efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas air tetapi juga memberikan manfaat tambahan pada kualitas ikan nila, sehingga mendukung ketahanan pangan dan pengelolaan sumber daya air yang lebih berkelanjutan.
       
      The use of graywater waste as an alternative water supply for nila farmers in Sukabumi is a potential solution to overcome water shortages during the dry season. This study aims to develop a greywater treatment tool using a filtration system with palm fiber, activated charcoal, zeolite, and silica sand as media. The method used involves up flow filtration through two chambers with layered filter media. The results showed that the water quality after filtration met the national class III water quality standards and domestik wastewater quality standards, with significant decreases in Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Ammonia Total, and Detergent, and an increase in Dissolved Oxygen (DO). Organoleptic tests on nila raised using filtrated water showed significant improvements in the taste, aroma, and texture of the fish compared to fish raised in plain water. These findings indicate that the developed filtration system is not only effective in improving water quality but also provides additional benefits on nila fish quality, thus supporting food security and more sustainable water resource management.
