      Abstract

Industrial Plantation Forest (HTI) development with acacia and eucalyptus plant nurseries is generally carried out with sprayer automation which tends to be wasteful of water and energy. Non-powered Automatic Fertigation (FONi) can be a more efficient nursery solution. This study aims to calculate the Kc value, determine the effect of variations in irrigation water height on seedling quality, and evaluate the application of FONi technology. Seeding is conducted in a greenhouse with TA1 (7 - 5 cm) and TA2 (5 - 3 cm) scenarios, each with 10 repetitions. The average Kc values obtained are 1,31 (TA1) and 0,94 (TA2). The variation of water height scenario affects only the quality of tall acacia plants because the Sig value of T-test < 0,05 with the average plant height of TA2 greater than TA1, namely 15,10 cm and 12,70 cm. Total irrigation is obtained 63,40 mm (TA1) and 43,09 mm (TA2) while total actual evapotranspiration (ETa) is obtained 87,40 mm (TA1) and 56,99 mm (TA2). ETa values are greater than irrigation with total stored water is 24,89 mm (TA1) and 14,06 mm (TA2). Irrigation efficiency is 77,83% (TA1) and 80,21% (TA2) with soil moisture is 48,89 mm (TA1) and 27,96 mm (TA2) so the results are TA2 scenario is more optimal. The cost required per seedling amounts to Rp.997,40. so that FONi irrigation is more efficient than sprayer automation watering.
