Perkembangan Penelitian Hutan Rakyat di Indonesia: Tinjauan Bibliografi

Abstract

Hutan rakyat di Indonesia memiliki peranan penting dalam menyangga keberlangsungan hidup masyarakat. Ilmu pengelolaan hutan rakyat diperlukan dalam mewujudkan pengelolaan hutan yang lestari. Namun, ilmu pengelolaan hutan rakyat masih relatif muda jika dibandingkan dengan ilmu pengelolaan hutan (forest management) yang diperuntukkan guna mengelola hutan-hutan luas dan masif. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk diketahui sejauh mana perkembangan ilmu pengelolaan hutan rakyat yang telah dilakukan melalui berbagai penelitian selama ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memetakan perkembangan penelitian di hutan rakyat dari tahun ke tahun meliputi lokasi penelitian, publikasi, tema, dan subtema mulai dari tahun 2013-2023 serta mengetahui kesesuaian antara teori dan praktik pengelolaan hutan rakyat. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan tinjauan bibliografi dan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif serta anotasi bibliografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian hutan rakyat banyak dilakukan di Provinsi Jawa Barat, Kabupaten Bogor, publikasi Jurnal Penelitian Hutan Tanaman, dengan tema produksi dan sub-tema penanaman. Sebagian praktik di lapangan tidak menerapkan teori, sehingga pengelolaan hutan rakyat belum mencapai optimum.

Community forests in Indonesia have an essential role in ensuring communities’ survival. The science of community forest management is necessary for achieving sustainable forest management. However, the science of community forest management is still relatively young compared to the forest management sciences intended to manage large and massive forests. Therefore, it is important to know to what extent the development of the science of community forest management has been through various studies over the years. The objective of this research is to map the development of research in the community forests from year to year, covering the location of research, publications, themes, and sub-themes starting from 2013-2023 as well as to find out the correlation between the theory and practice of community forest management. The research was conducted using bibliographic surveys and analyzed qualitatively descriptively, as well as an annotated bibliography. The research results show that a lot of community forest research is done in West Java Province, Bogor District, the publication of the Jurnal Penelitian Hutan Tanaman, with the themes of production and planting sub-themes. Some practices in the field do not apply theory, so community forest management has yet to reach optimum.
