Mammals is one of the class in the Animalia Kingdom, which has several features both in terms of physiology and
the nervous system and its intelegency level. Manusela National Park is the conservation area located in Seram Island,
Central Maluku. It has a high potential on the mammal diversity. The mammal inventory do in Manusela National Park
on July 26 till August 5, 2013. The method used was direct and indirect method. Direct method with line transect,
concentration count, trapping, and rapid assesment. Whereas indirect observations, using the identification mark. In this
observation found 10 species, they are wild boar (Sus scrofa), large flying-fox (Pteropus vampyrus), lesser sheath-tailed
bat (Emballonura monticola), common spotted cuscus (Spilocuscus maculatus), northern common cuscus (Phalanger
orientalis), malay civet (Viverra tangalunga), javan rusa (Rusa timorensis), dusky leaf-nosed bat (Hipposideros ater),
arcuate horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus arcuatus), dan little long-fingered bat (Miniopterus australis). Diversity of mammals
in Manusela National Park to the North and the South is at 1.9 and 1,876. These values indicate that the diversity of the
area is medium. The richness of species of mammals in the region North and South of TNM is medium. While the equity
value of the mammals in these two areas is close to 1 so that it can be said evenly. This indicates that the species there
well distribution in the community.
