Proses transportasi ternak dapat menyebabkan stress yang memengaruhi kondisi fisiologis, penurunan bobot badan dan kualitas daging. Dampak yang dialami harus segera diatasi sehingga masa pemulihan perlu dilakukan lebih cepat. Curcuma xanthorrhiza merupakan tanaman yang mengandung senyawa kurkumin dan minyak atsiri sehingga dapat meningkatkan kinerja metabolisme dan konsumsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh temulawak dalam pakan terhadap masa pemulihan domba jantan pasca transportasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan 15 ekor domba jantan berumur 12–14 bulan dan bobot badan 19,71±1,97 kg yang dibagi dalam tiga perlakuan serta lima kelompok dengan rancangan acak kelompok. Parameter yang diamati adalah penyusutan bobot badan, respon fisiologis, konsumsi nutrien, performa, profil hematologi dan metabolit darah. Data dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) dan Paired Sample T-Test serta perlakuan yang berbeda nyata diuji dengan Duncan menggunakan software IBM SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata (p>0,05) terhadap seluruh parameter. Lama pemulihan setelah sembilan hari pengamatan berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05) terhadap respon fisiologis, eritrosit, leukosit, hemoglobin, neutrofil, monosit, glukosa, blood urea nitrogen, dan kreatinin. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penambahan 2% tepung temulawak selama 9 hari pengamatan mampu menghasilkan bobot badan 1,8 kali lebih besar daripada tanpa temulawak. The process of livestock transportation causes stress, which affects physiological conditions, reduce body weight and meat quality. The following consequences must be addressed immediately, so recovery needs to be carried out more quickly. Curcuma xanthorrhiza is a plant that contains curcumin compounds and essential oils, so it can improve metabolic performance and increase consumption. This study was aimed to evaluate the effects of curcuma in the diet on post transportation recovery of ram. This study used 15 rams with 12–14 months of age and body weight (19,71±1,97 kg), which were divided into three treatments with five groups in a randomized block design. Parameters that were tested are body weight loss, physiological responses, nutrient consumption, performance, hematological and metabolite blood profile. Data ware analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Paired Sample T-Test, significantly different were tested with Duncan multiple range test using IBM SPSS 25 software. Results showed that the treatment had no significant effect (p>0,05) on all parameters. The recovery time after nine days observation had a significant effect (p<0,05) on physiological responses, erythrocytes, leukocytes, haemoglobin, neutrophil, monocytes, glucose, blood urea nitrogen, and creatinine. This research concludes that adding 2% curcuma flour for nine days of observation produced a body weight 1.8 times greater than without curcuma.
