dc.description.abstractKopi merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan yang memiliki peran penting dalam kegiatan perekonomian di Indonesia, di mana Indonesia merupakan negara penghasil kopi terbesar ketiga di dunia setelah Brazil dan Vietnam. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada permintaan pasar yang terus meningkat terhadap komoditas kopi. Sehubungan dengan itu, menjadi salah satu indikasi peluang bagi petani untuk meningkatkan kinerja usahatani dan kewirausahaan komoditas kopi, khususnya kopi organik. Petani sebagai pelaku utama, memegang peran penting dalam mencapai keberhasilan usahatani. Namun, banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan dalam berusahatani, meliputi kompetensi petani, teknik budidaya, sarana dan prasarana, serta penanganan pasca panen yang belum optimal. Beberapa faktor tersebut akan berdampak pada jumlah produksi dan mutu kopi yang dihasilkan. Keberhasilan petani dalam mencapai kinerja usahatani yang tinggi tidak hanya ditentukan dari kegiatan budidaya, salah satunya melalui potensi internal yang dimiliki petani seperti faktor kewirausahaan. Perkembangan lingkungan bisnis menuntut petani memiliki perilaku kewirausahaan. Adanya perilaku kewirausahaan akan berdampak terhadap peningkatan kinerja usahatani kopi organik. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi karakteristik individu, menganalisis pengaruh faktor individu dan lingkungan terhadap perilaku kewirausahaan, dan menganalisis pengaruh perilaku kewirausahaan terhadap kinerja usahatani kopi organik di Kabupaten Sumbawa. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Tepal, Kecamatan Batulanteh, Kabupaten Sumbawa Nusa Tenggara Barat. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner menggunakan metode sensus. Diperoleh 180 orang petani yang tergabung dalam gapoktan Kemang Arabika. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif, dan kuantitatif menggunakan SmartPLS versi 3.0. Karakteristik dari usia petani berada pada kisaran usia produktif 45–56 tahun, memiliki pengalaman yang cukup, tingkat pendidikan formal mayoritas lulusan SD, luas didominasi dengan luas sebesar 0-1 hektar. Faktor individu dan lingkungan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku kewirausahaan. Indikator yang paling dominan adalah skala usahatani dan persepsi petani, sedangkan faktor lingkungan adalah ketersediaan bahan input dan kekompakan antar petani. Faktor perilaku kewirausahaan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja usahatani, indikator yang paling dominan adalah tekun berusahatani dan berani mengambil risiko. Adapun nilai loading factor pada indikator kinerja usahatani yang paling dominan adalah komitmen berusahatani dan keunggulan bersaing. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan perilaku kewirausahaan dapat meningkatkan kinerja usahatani petani kopi organik di Kabupaten Sumbawa. dc.description.abstractCoffee is a significant plantation commodity that plays a crucial part in the economic activities of Indonesia. Indonesia ranks as the third most prominent global producer of coffee, following Brazil and Vietnam. The growing market demand for coffee goods is evident. Concerning this matter it serves as a sign of the potential for farmers to enhance the efficacy of coffee commodity cultivation and entrepreneurial endeavours, particularly in organic coffee production. As the primary stakeholders, farmers are pivotal in attaining agricultural prosperity. Numerous variables influence the efficacy of agricultural practises, encompassing the proficiency of farmers, cultivation methodologies, the quality of facilities and infrastructure, and the optimisation of post-harvest handling. Several factors can influence both the quantity and quality of coffee production. The attainment of excellent farm performance among farmers is contingent upon various aspects, extending beyond cultivation operations. One such factor is the internal capacity of farmers, which encompasses entrepreneurial factors. Developing the business environment necessitates the entrepreneurial behaviour of farmers. The presence of entrepreneurial behaviour will contribute to enhancing organic coffee farm performance. This study aimed to identify individual characteristics, analyse the effect of individual and environmental factors on the entrepreneurial behaviour of farmers, and investigate the effect of entrepreneurial behaviour on the operational outcomes of organic coffee farms in Sumbawa Regency. The study was conducted in Tepal Village, located in the Batulanteh District of Sumbawa Regency, in the province of West Nusa Tenggara. The data were obtained by administering questionnaires employing the census approach. A total of 180 farmers affiliated with the Kemang Arabica farmer group were included in the study. The methodology employed is both descriptive and quantitative, utilising SmartPLS version 3.0. The farmers possess specific distinguishing attributes; they fall between the productive age bracket of 45-56 years, exhibit considerable expertise, predominantly hold educational qualifications at the primary school level, land dominated by an area of 0-1 hectare. Individual and environmental factors positively and significantly affected entrepreneurial behaviour. The most dominant indicator that exerts the most effect is the scale of farming perception. Additionally, the availability of input materials and the level of cohesiveness among farmers are environmental factors. Entrepreneurial behaviour factors positively and significantly affected farm performance. Diligent farming and risk-taking are the most dominant indicators in this regard. The loading factor values associated with the most dominant farm performance indicators are commitment to farming and competitive advantage. This finding demonstrated that enhancing entrepreneurial behaviour could improve the agricultural performance of organic coffee growers in Sumbawa Regency.
